Main Resort Hotel

The Resort Rooms, located on the first through fourth floors, is a mid-sized room with a king, queen, or two queen beds. Some rooms have limited views of the property and can accommodate one rollaway bed or crib.

The Mountain View Rooms, also located on the first through fourth floors, each offers breathtaking views of the Equinox and the Taconic Mountains, the resort’s seasonal gardens or the historical village of Manchester.

The Premier Rooms are the most spacious guest rooms available in the Main Hotel. Each of these rooms will have a pull-out sofa bed.

Our 24-hour fitness center includes state of the art cardio machines, free weights, and various additional body sculpting equipment. Hiking Trails

Explore nearly 1,000 acres of protected land on two feet or two wheels. Equinox Preserve and Pond is positioned on the eastern side of Mt. Equinox and includes 11 miles of maintained trails. Positioned on the eastern side of Mt. Equinox, the Equinox Preserve and Pond are part of 914 acres of protected land. Open to the public year-round, the area includes 11 miles of maintained trials ranging from an easy pond loop to a steeper climb up to the summit.Trails are clearly marked. Take the easy-going Flatlanders Pass to the Pond Loop. Try Robin's Lookout off the Red Gate Trail for a sweet view of the Battenkill Valley. Or, if you're up for a long haul, hike the Blue Summit Trail all the way to the top. You can pick up a map at the kiosk near the trailhead or from our concierge. Bring your four-legged best friend with you as trails are pet-friendly. Just remember to leash your dog. Mountain bikers are welcome, too, but asked to avoid single-track trails such as Snicket and Trout Lily. Nature enthusiasts appreciate the diversity of the preserve as it changes with the rise in elevation. In spring, keep your eyes peeled for pretty blooming ephemerals. In summer, enjoy the thick canopy of northern hardwoods. In foliage, head for the overlooks and come prepared to capture captivating views with your camera.

Off Road Driving

Whether this is your first time off road or you have plenty of experience away from the pavement, a lesson with Land Rover Experience at The Equinox increases your knowledge and technical ability behind the wheel. Lessons cover the basics of expedition-style driving and mastering off-road obstacles such as steep ascents and descents, side-tilts, log and water crossings, rock crawls, and boulders. And, yes, it's as fun as it sounds.Driving the newest Land Rover on our purpose built 80 Acre Land Rover Course. Set amidst Vermont's scenic Green Mountains, you will also enjoy access to 11 miles of trails right in our backyard perfect for hiking or just getting close to nature.THE EXPERIENCES:Start with a one or two hour Experience. You'll be personally coached in essential skills within the controlled environment of our purpose-built training area. Take to the Trails. Go farther with a Full-Day Adventure. Pool and Hot TubOur 75-foot indoor lap pool is kept at a comfortable 83* and is perfect for guests looking for a water workout or leisurely float. Our outdoor, mountain view hot tub is the perfect place to recoup sore, post-ski legs and is open year-round. Water amenity hours are 8 AM - 8 PM

Shooting Range

Orvis Shooting SchoolNo matter how experienced you might be handling a gun, you'll learn new techniques with instruction based on the English Churchill method. This instinctive approach to shot gunning can be used for upland and waterfowl hunting as well as sporting clays. Classes include instruction on stance, footwork, gun handling, swing, visual concentration, proper gun mount and correct fit of the gun stock, plus a chance to learn from the best.
